St. Ives squash courts closure - please sign the ePetition !

Dear squash and racket ball players
I guess many of you will have heard the bad news that Huntingdon District Council has a plan to close all the courts at the One Leisure Outdoor location in St. Ives. This would be devastating for many of us who enjoy squash and racket ball at a local location.
HDC has said that 50 signatures are needed by 1 May to get an opportunity to put the  proposed closure on the agenda at a council meeting. We can then put the case to keep the courts open or to come to an acceptable outcome.
So please sign the petition. The link is available here .
Or search / navigate to Huntingdon District Council website, 'ePetitions'
There might be a few steps to sign up etc, but it will all be worth it if we can get a good outcome for squash and racketball in St. Ives.
Please forward this email to non-members of our club - visiting county club members, box league players, casual players, friends, family etc. this is a public facility that many more should want to keep open !  (Petitioners need to be 'in the district', not sure how far that extends)
Any queries to John Dewis or myself.
Thanking you in advance !
On half of St. Ivo Racquets club.
